A digital keypad can be used as an alternative method to accessing the HQ rifle safes. This keypad is located on the biometric module and can retain one user-created PIN code. Having a PIN code as an alternative access method provides more flexible options for opening the safe in the event that the user prefers a traditional PIN code over a fingerprint scan. The HQ series of rifle safes also includes two back-up keys that can be used to open the safe using a lock located above the biometric scanner in the module.
